Christmas appeal

Humanitarian crisis has hit the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zimbabwe this year. As Christmas approaches, remember the thousands of people who are facing an uncertain future of insecurity, chronic hunger and sickness.

We are supporting appeals through Action by Churches Together that will provide emergency supplies to some of the most vulnerable people.

Become a world-changer!

The Bible, and MRDF's overseas work, are full of everyday heroes: ordinary people who have done extraordinary things. They seized the opportunities they had – and we can too.

Our new Lent study pack, What does the Bible say about changing the world? includes in-depth Bible studies, group discussion questions and suggestions of simple ways that you can make a difference to the world. Use it in your house group or youth group, and discover how you can become a world-changer.

Help make trade fairer

Fairtrade shopping

Why not ask your church to commit to becoming a Fairtrade Church in 2009? Unfair trade rules continue to lock millions of people in the developing world in poverty. The Fairtrade Foundation has just released its 2009 Church Action Guide. It is full of up-to-date information and practical actions that churches can take over the coming year, including the Fairtrade Fortnight in February.
