Inserting an Element into PowerPoint
How to insert one of the story teller elements.
STEP 1.
The background is shown in blue for clarity.
STEP 2.
From the Insert drop down choose Picture
STEP 3.
Then choose From File...
STEP 4.
A Browse through the folders, or click on the down arrow, and locate the folder containing the PNG files.
B Highlight the element you wish to use.
C Click the Insert button.
Please make sure to choose the PNG files as they have been customized to work in PowerPoint.
STEP 5.
The image will now appear on the slide.
If you have an older version of PowerPoint you will see a black background.
To remove this, right click on the image and choose Show Picture Toolbar.
STEP 6.
A Click on the Set Transparent Color icon.
B Click on the black area around the element.
STEP 7.
You can re-size the element by dragging the white dots in the corners & sides of the image.
Note: dragging the corner dots will keep the image in proportion.
Step 8.
You can animated the elements with any of the animation effects in PowerPoint by right clicking on the image and choosing Custom Animation... try the fade effect (PowerPoint 2003 or newer).
