Reading: John 14:23-29
Read the passage aloud again, then re-read silently along with the Commentary. Reflect on the personal questions individually before sharing your thoughts in groups of three.
Commentary:
Jesus includes a promise and a challenge in his farewell. He promises to 'make a dwelling place' with them always. The condition for him to be present with all his heart, however, is that they continue to love him and to take his message seriously. Jesus says the message is not just his but also that of the Father. He is the messenger of the Father. He promises to send the Spirit who will stand at their side and teach them all things. 3. On what occasion have you come to realise that your 'talents'
came from beyond yourself ?
4. In what decisions that face you today would you like to have the
guidance of God?
