[Let the People Worship]
22. In this way, worship can lead to mission. In Isaiah, the vision of the holiness of God leads to the mission of the prophet to the world. In Matthew, the worship of the risen Christ by the disciples precedes their commission to the world. The Church engages in mission in obedience to Christ, but it gains its strength and purpose for mission from within its worship.

96. Worship opens our eyes to discern God's presence and activity in every aspect of our life and the life of the world. Such recognition transforms our personal life and leads to a determination that all life should be open to this transformation by God's Spirit. Such worship impels us to mission within the world, for the mission of the church is rooted in its worship.
